Question
How long will the 4-1 Compact last?

First, make sure you are loading your brush with the 4-in-1 powder properly to make it last the longest time possible. DO NOT DRAW your brush across the top of the powder, BUT INSTEAD, TAP the top of your brush up and down on top of the powder to load it. Then, swirl the brush around in the lid of the compact before using it on you face . This will help your powder last at least 3-4 months, using it once a day.

I apply the makeup first thing in the morning and it lasts me all day. The compact itself usually last me about 2 months. I absolutely love this product! I have combination skin and I have break outs easily, but since I have been wearing this makeup my skin break outs have decreased. The makeup is so sheer that it does not leave a heavy residue on your skin that often feels cakey. I would most definitely recommend purminerals.

Mine usually last me about 3 months. I use it every day, however I don't use it over my entire face. I use it around my eyes and T-zone.

I don't see how anyone is getting months out of one compact. They must have very few flaws to cover. I would say max would be two months with daily usage. I love this make up, but I don't think there is enough product in any of the compacts compared to other foundations.

I bought mine about 6 months ago, and although I don't use it every day, I still have a long way till I finish mine. If you use it every day I'm sure it will still last you a very long time. You really don't need a lot of product to show results.

First of all the 4 in 1 is wonderful. I love it! However, I find it pricey, as it only lasts about 6 wks.
I use it 5 days a week, and rarely retouch during the day!
I'm really hoping that they can make a refill, so I can buy it more frequently.

There's a Golden Med & Tan split pan for .50 cents more. Just buy that like I have. Or if you love it...buy 2 full size and adjust...will last you twice as long.

I also have the same problem, especially if I get a little sun, so what I do is use both Golden Medium and Medium Dark, using only a minimal amount of the Medium Dark just to darken the Golden Medium. For instance, I'll dip the brush two or three times in Golden Medium, then once in the Medium Dark before I draw and it blends together perfectly. As I get tanner throughout the summer, I'll use more of the Medium Dark.

Question
Proper way to apply 4 in 1 foundation
I just bought this product and I am wondering if any powder brush will do to apply it of it the chisel brush you sell would be the best option?

The chisel brush is wonderful, so I would recommend it first of all. A powder brush would work, but you may not get the same coverage as easily and smoothly as you would with something like the chisel brush.

answer 2
I would look for a powder brush that is more dense. However, it's very hard to find a brush that is very dense. Without a dense powder brush it is a bit tough to pick up the foundation. The chisel brush is a good option as well!

The best way I have found is to draw circles in the poweder with the chisel brush, then follow the lines of my face to apply. On the forehead, draw T-like lines with the forehead and the nose area. Then draw circles on the cheeks. Don't worry about having too much-if you do, it evens itself out as you use the brush. And it never looks like too much anyway!

A good quality kabuki brush are the best for mineral foundation applications. Powder brushes are decent, but bristles are not as tightly packed.

In the compact we use now there isn't enough room for a brush, they would have to redesign the case to hold a brush.

We are not planning to offer a brush in the compact but we are always willing to consider requests! The sponge is designed to blot oil and use for touch ups, if necessary.

Question
I need help choosing what makeup to wear please :-)
Hi, I have recently started using your products. I LOVE THEM!!! I have never worn any other makeup like yours. If you want to look flawless use these products!!
My question is that I am not sure what makeup combination to use. I just bought the 4-in-1 powder foundation and the illuminating powder. I like the 4-in-1 powder but I am used to wearing a tiny bit of liquid foundation applied first. Do you have something like that I could apply first before the 4-in-1? I also would love a little bit of a bronzer but not too much.
My skin color is fair, my eyes are green. If you could suggest colors for eyeshadow, blush, etc. that would be greatly appreciated!!
I have had so many compliments from people about my "GLOW" since I started using your makeup. This past weekend I had photo shots with some celebrities that told me my skin looked fantastic and beautiful!! I havent missed an opportunity to tell people about your products :-)

If the illuminating powder you are using is the Mineral Glow, then we recommend using either Mineral Glow or Marble Powder in Bronze but not both at the same time. This is because each product is a bronzer.

answer 3
Marble Powder in Bronze is great for a subtle, sun-kissed look. Copper Sienna Blush or Hot Rocks (you can even combine them) would be beautiful shades for your cheeks. Vanilla Feldspar Eye Shadow paired with Gold Dust or Chocolate Topaz are wonderful shades for green eyes. Finish your eyes with Chocolate Mica Eye Pencil and Triple Impact Mascara. Try our new Oasis Lip Gloss for a sheer, natural color. If you wish to use a primer beneath the 4-in-1 Foundation, you may want to try our Neutral Correcting Primer.

Question
Is Tan a cool color like the original Medium or warm like the new Golden Medium?
When I first bought the original Medium it looked like I had covered my face in pink blush. I thought it might be too dark so I bought the Light --but I still looked like I had covered my face in pink blush. Then you finally came out with the Golden Medium and it worked! The only problem is that with a summer tan the color is too pale for my face. If I buy the Tan color, will it match my golden complexion or will it be too pink like the others were?

I think the Tan will match perfectly. It has golden undertones. I have the tan shade and I have a golden complexion like you. For the winter, it still works for me but it is just a tad dark; it will look beautiful in the summer though. It's definitely your best bet :)

(If your complexion is like the one in my picture, that's my summer tan.)

Question
How much difference is there between blush medium and light colors?
I generally wear a medium make up color so I chose the blush medium. I am concerned that it is a touch too dark for me (at least during the winter months). I was looking at the light color but I am concerned it may be too "warm" and/or too light for me.

The same thing happens to me, too. I also use Blush Medium in the summer and use the "Light" shade in winter. Pur makes a split pan with both colors in it that would be perfect for you to blend the two colors to get a lighter shade but not as light as the "Light" shade. I, myself, just wear the light shade alone in the winter since I'm pretty fair skinned and "tanless" in the winter!

There is about a shade difference between Light and Blush Medium. The makeup will allow your natural skin tone to come through. You can also combine both colors if you are in between shades.

Question
How does this product differ from bare minerals or philosophy makeup?
I have used both in the past. I find bare minerals too messy and philosophy does not have enough colors. Is this a better choice for me?

I have tried all three and Pur Minerals is my choice! It doesn't spill and fly all over and stain like Bare Minerals or have that shiny look and settle in lines or pores. The Philosophy had NO coverage at all and the colors were very limited. Plus the sponge top got so icky and fell apart from use. You could NEVER use either of them as concealer either, with philosophy you have to use the cream trio to match and cover and with the Bare Minerals it gave me wrinkles that weren't even there without makeup! Pur Minerals is easy, no mess or spilling and looks like great skin, no fake shiny finish, and it covers beautifully. It REALLY makes you look like a NATURAL beauty!

I haven't used Philosophy, but I have used bare minerals. For me, these were the differences I found.

- No more mess. I don't have makeup all over my hands and my sink is no longer tinted from the spillage & dust!
- No more tomato skin! BE looked great when I first put it on, but by the time I got to work, my foundation would turn to an awful red color (I have deeper/golden undertone skin). With PUR minerals the color stays true, and magically blends even better with my skin as it sets.
- convenience. PUR minerals can easily fit in your purse and travels well.
- less irritation. They both contain Bismuth, but PUR minerals has it lower on the list of ingredients. PUR didn't give me that itchy/tingle that BE did.

I hope this helps ;o)

Question
Does it accentuate facial hair?
I am in my mid-fifties. I have rosacea so I would like to use a foundation to even out skin tone. The 4 in 1 sounds great. But I find that most foundations cling to the facial hair I've sprouted over the last couple of years. Does anyone have similar problem?

When applying the 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation, we recommend that you end with a downward stroke so facial hair is not "standing up". Powder can cling to facial hair.

Question
Is Porcelain a pink/red tone or a yellow tone colour, please.
Most foundations are either yellow/peach toned or pink/red toned to suit the undertones in the skin. Could you please tell me what undertones Porcelain has? Thanks.

Hi,

thought I would come back and answer my own question, because the compact arrived yesterday and I tried it for the first time today - the shade is not quite yellow enough for me, but it certainly isn't pink. I think it is probably best described as a neutral-ish peach.

It is an OK match, but not a good one.

I wore it all day today and every time I saw myself in the mirror I was very pleased with the appearance of my skin, but when I looked closely, the colour was not a perfect match (Estee Lauder 'Bone' or 'Linen' is a perfect match for me, but is SO much more hassle to wear!). So now I have to decide whether the ease of use of this lovely powder is worth the less than perfect colour match...
