I used this product for a month and had to stop using it. Ever since ive switched to this product, ive never had so many breakouts in my life!! I recently found out that this product contains bismuth, a skin irritant. I am now doing quite alot of research and looking for another product that works for my sensitive skin.

No, this product is very good, I have a combination skin, oily on the t zone, and yet, this powder is so good, you can sleep on it. I recently have a vacation in Iran, we sleep very late, and this powder gives me a lot of compliments.

I can only speak from personal experience & my answer is no, I didn't break out at all. In fact, my skin is looking better than it has in many years. I have combination skin that tends to be sensitive & this foundation has improved my look so much. No breakouts whatsoever. Love, love, love this product.

No, you won't break out from using this product. I have the most sensitive skin and can't use anything that has perfumes or chemicals in it. This product has been a godsend for me, as I not only have sensitive skin, but blotchy skin as well. It evens out my skin tone and makes me look like I have fabulous skin. I am 55 years old and have used this product faithfully for 2 years now and have my 2 daughters using it as well. One of them is prone to acne and the other one has sensitive skin like me. They both love PurMinerals and have told all their friends about it as well. I wouldn't go a day without it!!!!!

Not a chance! My teenage daughter has extremely sensitive skin. We couldn't find a single foundation on the market that didn't aggravate her skin....until Pur.
She (we) have been using nothing but
for over five years now and have nothing
negative to say about this product. It covers, conceals and protects all in one
little package no matter what. It's the best product we have ever found. I only
wish it had been around when I was a teen!

NO!! I have the worst skin for breakouts and shine. I have tried just about every "drug store" foundation and even Sheer Cover and nothing comes close to Pur. I'm not just saying that. I've been using it faithfully for 2 years now and not once have I gotten a breakout from it. I'm so grateful I found it.

I have such sensitive skin that I can't nap less than an hour before going anywhere for fear of crease marks. Yet this product is not only fine for my skin, but it really doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything! That's why I love it.

Absolutely not. My dermatologist has sold many retail products over the years. However, they have never carried a makeup line because they did not feel they had one they felt that strongly about. This group of 5 doctors proudly carries only Pur makeup now.

How do you know which colors to pick for hard to match skin tone?

The color could easily match almost any skin tone, I have tried my pressed powder to some of my relatives, since they have complimented on my beautiful skin. Some of them have darker or a little bit lighter than my skin tone, they have combination or oily skin. Yet everybody is satisfied and love the pressed powder. The color could easily match almost any skin tone, and the result is just airbrush effect.

This foundation is so forgiving, that if you get close on the skin color and the undertone, Pur Minerals 4 in 1 will match even the hard to match skin tone. My Mom is 88 and has macular degeneration so she was having a hard time blending her foundation. I gave her Pur Minerals last year for Christmas and now her skin looks pur-fect every day. Mom doesn't have to see to be able to blend, she just has to get it on her face with the magic chisel brush. She is now getting compliments on her skin again. Her brother asked her what she was doing different because her skin was so beautiful. Mom told him that she was using a mineral foundation called Pur Minerals and my uncle told her she looked 15 years younger. If you have a family member or friend that is visually impaired, give them Pur Minerals for Christmas or Hannakuh. They will love you for all of the compliments that they get when they are wearing Joli's wonderful creation, Pur-Minerals 4 in 1 Foundation.

I have learned through watching on air presentations, that there are different undertones. I'm cool/ with pink undertones. My first purchase was a match. I do believe if you are unsure, the split pan is the best choice. I left Pur Minerals. I regret it because I had a harder time matching my skin. I'm fair & I burn. When I say fair. Growing up I was called a porcelain doll. I'm a red head with Blues eyes. I hope this helps any one who is fair. I use Porcelin. That is how fair, I am. Fair & Light can differ but they are forgiven. It blends like magic. Natural. I honestly have to say in closing growing up finding a match was so hard. Liquid was a challenge still a challenge but now a bye bye...

Your best bet would be to try the 4-in-1 Split Pan Mineral Foundation. It comes with 2 makeup shades in one compact. You can custom blend the perfect shade for your skin tone, by using as much or as little as you want. In summer use more of the darker shade and in winter use more of the lighter shade.

I have found that the foundation colors for PUR Minerals are very forgiving. I wear the light 4-in-one pressed mineral foundation. In BE I was a fairly light.
I then use the Bronze Mineral Marble powder in the summer all over my face to warm it up a bit.
I love it! Best mineral foundation ever!

I have discovered that with Pur Minerals, a hard to match skin tone does not exist! Matching perfectly is not necessary AT ALL because you are not covering your skin with a product. You....your skin tone.....no matter how hard you think it is to match....will just appear enhanced, healthy and flawless, but never "colored" or "covered". ...nothing to match as it's not a mask of any sort like typical foundation. That's why I LOVE this stuff! It's truly foolproof. I've used a few different shades and I get equally lovely results with each.

People often try to compare the colours to their face. I've read that experts indicate matching foundation colours to the inside of your wrist to get an accurate tone that will match your face. Hope this helps!

After using Pur Minerals for the last few years, I have learned that going a shade or two lighter or darker - will work perfectly. Joli seems to have "purfected" a system that your natural skin tone will come through - yet at the same time cover blemishes and give you that wonderful tone and color that looks vibrant and healthy - and not like you are covered in make up!

I've developed broken capillaries on my cheeks in recent years, to the extent that it looks like I have Rosacea when I don't have makeup on. This foundation covers them completely, without looking like I've got a mask on. You can always build more coverage in the areas you feel are necessary & it will still look natural & not feel cakey or thick.

Definately!! I am 35 years old and have been using this product for 5 years now. I love it. It is the only product that gives me the coverage I want and feels great on my skin. Actually I don't feel it at all. I have broken capillaries around my nose and it really covers them. I love this product.

Question
Have you considered making a larger size 4-in-1?
I go through the compacts quickly as I need additional coverage. (rosacea)
A larger size 4-in-1 with less packaging would be ideal for my home use, and of course I'll still have my compact in my purse for touch ups.

This is not an answer, but also an addition to the request above, because for one, it's more practical to have a larger size for home use, but in addition, it requires less waste as far as the compact material since I got through three compacts at home before I even ran out of the compact I took along in my purse...

Question
Have you thought of developing a makeup product/foundation that will cover birthmarks such as port wine stain?
I have a large port wine stain birthmark on y face and currently use Revlon color stay liquid makeup as a base and then apply your pur minerals foundation on top and mineral glow as blush/eye color to finish. I would love for someone to come out with a mineral make up that will do it with just one coat.

Your birthmark can be successfully treated with laser. My entire left leg was almost covered with a birthmark and is now totally gone. Facial marks have a better outcome than the legs because of gravity. I went to a doctor that had been featured on Dateline and she was excellent.

We always welcome requests! You may want to try our Green Colour Correcting Primer. This primer neutralizes skin tone to help offset redness. After the primer dries, apply the 4-in-1 Foundation and then go back over any areas that need more coverage using the Maximum Coverage Brush.

Hi
Speaking from personal experience, the 4in 1 has never exasperated a blemish for me; in fact it has always helped to ease the pain and redness that can be associated with a breakout. It is the only product i have ever used that actually covers a blemish without looking like it is covering a blemish!

Our 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation is perfect for acne-prone skin. There is nothing in the 4-in-1 Foundation that will exacerbate the skin's condition. It is free of petroleum-based oils so it will not clog pores. Minerals have natural analgesic properties that help to calm and soothe the skin. Our 4-in-1 Foundation will give you full coverage that looks natural.

Question
almost- 44 year old with oily/acne prone skin
So far I have been happy with your product, I use the 4 in 1 mineral foundation. BUT it seems to start to get very shiny after about 4-5 hours and when I blot my make-up starts to look blotchy. I've been thinking of getting the green primer but I am afraid of break outs! I tend to get more cystic acne now. I really don't want to change make-up so any advice would be great!

I have roseaca and use the green primer to reduce the visability. It does work and actually helped minimize my roseaca. It didn't make me break out, I feel it helped control it without drying the skin. Give it a try, it's worth it!

You may want to try our See No More Pore Minimizer (http://www.purminerals.com/See-No-M...). This primer contains alcohol so it helps to provide some oil control. For very oily skin, we recommend adding Under Control (http://www.purminerals.com/Under-Co...) to your skin care regimen. This treatment gel is applied morning and evening right after cleansing your face. It contains ingredients that help reduce oil production on the skin's surface.

Hi
I am happy to say that you should be able to use this product with absolutely no reservations. Speaking as someone who had NEVER been able to use any type of make up(due to adverse reactions to my skin) prior to discovering Pur Minerals, I feel extremely comfortable recommending the 4in 1 to the most sensitive of skins. Good luck, I know you will love it!

I have a bit of a reddish undertone that gets more noticeable when it is hot. I use the Pur Mineral Green Primer and it really does help! Try applying it on the back of your wrist and taking a brush and swirling it over the product and onto the face. Be careful not to use too much or else it'll make you super oily.
